I started the month out getting to catch the last day of the Weight of Desire show featuring the incredible works of Namio Harukawa and Nobuyoshi Araki.

Getting to see both of these artists work in person was absolutely worthwhile. April Recap

March Update/Throne Spotlight

Coming out of this cold winter slowly into the magic that is spring in New York City has been everything I’ve needed. I’ve spent the past sporadic warm days in the company of beloved Domme friends, new submissive boy toys in NYC + Boston, being spoiled, at parks, and enjoying delicious outings.

Unfortunately since my last newsletter some of you saw that my second Twitter/X account got deleted. February Recap

I had the privilege of being invited by A24 and Dipsea to an early release screening of Pillion with a Q+A from the director and main actors of the film. I found myself in the theatre in my leathers with my submissive’s chastity key around my neck taking in the sea of other fellow leather queers, sex workers, and kinky folk to see the movie. Incredibly grateful for that energy we all brought in to experience Pillion.

Pillion had me reminiscing to a time when I entered kink as a bright eyed naive submissive more than a decade ago. I felt so connected to Colin in his character arch of his jump into a D/s dynamic with his first Dom, Ray. The look of eagerness to please and want to give your all to your Dominant even if you don’t know what you’re doing or if you’re doing it right had me enamored. I found myself thinking back to experiencing all my kink firsts, how incredible it felt to finally have access to other people like me, and what it was like to FINALLY allow myself to explore my submission (or what I thought that looked like) in the early days of my journey. Of course in the beginning the sex, adrenaline, and newness is enough, but sometimes you realize maybe your dynamic can (or should) look different. We are constantly evolving and changing in our kink interests, in what we want/what we think we want vs. actually living it and seeing what’s actually for us or not. I’m glad to see that reality captured in this film.

A monumental event in February was of course Bad Bunny’s halftime show performance at the Super Bowl aka Benito Bowl!! Do I really need to say anything else? He brought us together through love and music, the whole fucking point of being alive. He continuously makes me and so many others proud to be Latino, and yes I cried seeing him and Ricky Martin rightfully getting their flowers.

I could gush more about that moment/him but I want to take this time to say thank you. So many of you reached out to me about him and about my writing on ICE in my last newsletter. It means the world to know you are actually reading and taking in my words on here whether you’re a fellow provider keeping up, a client just here for date updates, or someone new seeing if I align to be your future Domme. I will never be silent on important issues, I will always speak my fucking mind, I promise that till my last dying breath.

January Recap

First, let’s start on the highlights of the past month shall we? Later in the month, I went to the Brooklyn Museum to see a photography show I’d been dying to see, Seydou Keïta: A Tactile Lens was so magnificent. As a photographer myself I was blown away by the way he captured his community and the scale and rich contrast of his film prints. Highly recommend going to see his work along with the Monet in Venice show. My iphone photos do not do them justice. If you go to see them i’d LOVE to talk about the show with you!

With the fun out of the way, I do need to get fucking really real with you guys….

It has been incredibly hard to be sexy 24/7 during times like these, I’m sure many of you have been feeling like this the past month, and for many of us the past year(s) with the political climate. What is happening in the U.S. with ICE is disgusting, inhumane, and terrifying. I’ve gone back and forth about discussing this but it felt important to write down for myself, for others, and for documenting a time in history we are all going through.

For most of us kink is a tool to escape the horrors of day to day, to join like-minded community, to release all our shit and feel held in our own special perverted way. I try my best to always show up and hold this space for my clients, I’m eternally honored so many of you choose me to help you do so! However recently I have come to realize, not everyone deserves kink.

Stay with me here, I need to tell you a story about last year and the first (and only ever) MAGA client I’ve seen. Sometimes as SWers we don’t have the luxury of turning a session down and that’s just how it is, despite everything in my body telling me not to see him unfortunately I was in a position where I couldn’t turn down work. I’ve never felt so disgusted and awful after a session as much as I did that one. I hated every second of having to pretend to hold space for someone that could support someone who stands for everything against my very existence as a queer Latina woman. You’d think getting to do the most fucked up shit to someone who stands for everything you despise would make you feel good right? Wrong. I wanted nothing to do with him, I couldn’t wait to get away, something I NEVER feel with clients.

Months pass and I get a text from said client asking to book a FMTY and what my rates and protocols were over a paid call. To no one’s surprise he of course would try to haggle my prices, my time, and disrespect my boundaries for his means to get what he wants. Mind you this client tells me in our first and only ever session that his relationship to kink is because he “loves to make women mad at him so they can take it out on him”, so I especially was not having it, I say no. Time goes by and he asks me to do the FMTY again and to use me as a reference for another provider, I decline both because of our last interaction, I did not feel comfortable vouching for him to another provider just for him to pull the same shit. You know what he had the audacity to try next? To ask to BUY me to be a reference for him, truly only the audacity a MAGA person would have, and for $60. I tell him to go fuck himself and swiftly block him. Good fucking riddance, I’d rather starve that continue to put up with any of that ever again, I finally listen to my gut like I should’ve the first time. Over the next month he continues to make different phone numbers with bullshit apologies to try to get me to still do the FMTY. Blocked. Each and every time. You showed exactly who I knew you would be and you know what? The money is never worth it.

I’ve never felt such a weight lifted off of my shoulders as that moment. We don’t have to put up with that, and you know what started to happen once I finally said enough? A plethora of incredible new subs from my writing earlier came my way. I’ve even begun a beautiful play dynamic with a sub not in the U.S. who went out of his way to congratulate me on joining in on the nation wide strike against ICE and sharing kind words for what I’m having to experience here. That’s who I want in my submissive circle. My good boys who stand on the correct side of the injustices going on. Who see and treat me like a person outside of what I provide for them.

There will always be a better sub around the corner that will honor you and your time and align with your values and boundaries. You don’t have to see these assholes, you don’t have to give them access to pleasure when they don’t deserve it.

What we’re seeing right now in the U.S. through the right/Trumpers is horrific. So yeah, I’ll say it with my full chest, MAGA folks don’t deserve a safe space in kink. They don’t deserve to be held or allowed in these spaces when they are part of why all of this happening. There is no “agree to disagree”. This is wrong, and I’m not going to pretend and play nice when we’re seeing history repeat itself but with a new demographic of innocent people. Why would I for a second pretend to hold their humanity when they wouldn’t ever do the same for me and my people? Fuck em.

I would not be here if it was not for the sacrifices of my immigrant parents. I am the first of my family born on U.S. soil. A queer, poly, kinky bitch. A life they never could of even dreamed of, all possible due to their sacrifice of leaving home for a better future. They gave me the chance to make my own destiny, to have a chance to dream and make it come true, to break the mold of what is expected of me as a woman, to break generational curses. I want the same for other immigrant families. I don’t want them to fear their loved ones being taken away, I want them to be able to dream, to have a choice. So we fight. We cannot become passive. We cannot let them get us. We must turn fear, helplessness, and overwhelm into action.

This is a serious writing for me, something I know many don’t recommend for our work and “branding”, but I’ve always been vocally politically engaged (being a young radicalized punk always aware of immigration status/racism/ableism/poverty will do that to ya). I’ve had many white clients come to me SPECIFICALLY for being vocally far left, and I’m proud as fuck for it as a Mexican dominatrix. I’ve had white subs do critical race readings, use their money to pay me/other QTBIPOC providers, pay for mutual aid efforts in my name, and so much more. I do believe in using whatever platform I have. As a professional dominatrix, I’m fully aware of my power over these men, clients that don’t align are not meant for me, and that’s good, they need to be put in their place outside of the dungeon too. I don’t want them, especially when I have so many incredible BIPOC, Queer, Trans, and left leaning clients who care for me outside of just getting them off. We as kinky people play with power in the dungeon/our sex lives, and to not acknowledge power in the outside world (whether to escape or play with) is foolish.

So with my whole chest, FUCK ICE. FUCK MAGA. It’s never too late to engage with political action, to put your time, body, mind, heart, and money where it matters.

Mistress Dahlia’s 2026 highlights

This past year was one of many many highs and lows that made me so grateful to have made it to the other end. As many of you know that have been following me for a while online, I started 2025 getting hit by a car as I was walking home at night. I’m very lucky I ended up okay and was able to get back to walking after two months. I took so much time to rest and focus on my health in 2025: doing physical therapy, doctors appointments, and getting back in the gym to try to rebuild muscles in the areas of my leg that were injured.

November Recap

October Recap

Besides tormenting my locked up subs last month I got into so much out of this world fun. I started the month attending Elvira’s book release (hello to the sub I ran into at the event!) and got to meet Cassandra Peterson herself! I had no idea the event would also mean we would get to meet John Waters at the end! Imagine my surprise when I got to be face to face with him and getting showered in compliments from him? One for the books.

September Recap

My books are open for August and September in NYC! I’ve been having so much fun this summer covered in latex, draining bank accounts and converting plenty of newbies to the joy of chastity.
